What is the Care for Creation Initiative?

St. Vincent de Paul Parish’s Care for Creation Initiative is a parish and community-wide program to increase awareness of how closely connected our environmental awareness is to our faith and to social justice. Together we will prayerfully and thoughtfully develop a plan of action to address the climate crisis. We are working with DePaul University’s Environmental Science Department who will track, measure, and analyze our practices to determine our effectiveness in lessening our carbon footprint.
