DePaul University Lecture—free and open to the public
Reclaiming the Intimate Images of Christ
Thursday, October 29 at 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Student Center, 2250 N Sheffield Ave, Room 314B
Simon C. Kim, a 2015-16 visiting scholar with DePaul’s Center for World Catholicism & Intercultural Theology, traces the historical developments of Christological images as the source of evangelization of new cultures to reveal the political, social and cultural realities of a particular people and help us understand the relationship of humanity and divinity. The ability to reclaim and cultivate these intimate images of Christ is not only constitutive of being church but it also allows local communities to contribute to the universal aspects of the faith.
