The Trials of Job

January 22, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Why do bad things happen to good people?

The Book of Job has become synonymous with unjust suffering as it probes the answer to this very question.

Join The DePaul Humanities Center and their guests as they uncover a view of the universe through Job that may be the key to understanding justice for all creation.

In this multi-media presentation, you will encounter Job through the visual arts, music, and poetry as renowned scholars interpret this biblical story.

By examining the relationship between liberation theology and Job’s suffering, we discover the possibility that the story of Job is a source of politically radical freedom and hope.
