Homily from January 29th, 2017

Homily In Brief for the 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time:

“Vincent de Paul, who began his mission to bring the Good News of God’s love and mercy to the poor 400 years ago this week, lived a life reflected in the Beatitudes. We are called to the same which is difficult since they are so countercultural. And we live out the Beatitudes by following Matthew 25: feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, welcoming the stranger, visiting the sick and those in prison. We live out the Beatitudes by standing up for those who are powerless: the unborn, victims of discrimination, migrants and refugees. That is our call as Christians.”
