Homily In Brief for the 1st Sunday of Lent:

“At Chartres Cathedral in France, there is a beautiful sculpture of the creation of Adam (link below). I love the tenderness with which God creates humanity and the love that jumps out at me. And God did this knowing full well that Adam would turn away! God does the same with us: loving us and caring for us despite our sinfulness. This Lent, let us allow God to embrace us in the same way and draw closer through our prayer and service. Christ renews and saves us, forgives and heals us. Let us turn once more to our loving God.”
