Homily from September 10, 2017
Homily In Brief for the 23rd Sunday of Ordinary Time:
For me, it’s awkward and difficult to confront someone who may be doing something wrong or making poor choices. Yet Jesus tells us that we are our brother’s keeper, our sister’s keeper in a sense, that we speak out against injustice. Out of love, we call them to see what’s wrong and encourage reconciliation. However we need to remind ourselves that we need to look at ourselves first and not be self-righteous about the shortcomings or perceived faults of others. We are on this journey together as a community of love.
